In my mind this is basicilly what my life is like today I don't care what happens i just want to have fun while being alive and I see so many connections to me and Holden it is unbelievible it is like we are the same person except i am real and he is not.
So far from what i have read i found out that my life is awful and that no one really has a porpus in this life and that we just play it like it's game except in this game no one wins.

where do you get Holden's goal of having fun? he doesn't seem to have goals and appears to fed up with society to join in happy times. but i think you really showed the depressing aspect of this characteri jut hope you aren't serious about you feeling the same:)
ReplyDeleteI think in one way or another, it's impossible to not see some aspect of Holden in ourselves. I would have to agree with Jordan, however, that you seem to be more goal-driven than Holden! You're here, in school, revising your papers, and working to be successful.

That in a way no one in the world is every truily satisfied with their lives ever and because of that no one in their minds wins because they always think they can live better than they do now.
ReplyDeleteI can see you as Holden in some ways but from my point of view, I don't think Holden is having fun in the environment he is living in. He is pretty much struggling. Because he is failing four subjects, and more importantly he doesn't care about his studies. It's just my opinion.
